Welcome to Mr. Woods' Witch Hunts/Hysteria Research Project

The Crucible was written in the 1950s when Arthur Miller saw frightening parallels between the McCarthy trials and the Salem Witch Trials of nearly 300 years earlier.  Sadly, these two events were not the only witch-hunts in American history. On this libguide find resources that will help you investigate modern day witch hunts and events of mass hysteria and underlying causes.
